GUEST BOOK

I just found out about Barbara's passing; Barbara was music director at Bridgewater UMC, where I played trumpet for many years. I have many memories of wonderful music and friendships at BUMC, and I have long-treasured the time I spent there with Barbara's leadership and , for me, guidance. Although I lost touch over the years after moving from the area, I see that Barbara's ministry continued and that she has touched many lives. I hope all of those encounters were as meaningful as mine. My prayers are with the family.

Sandi, Oh, I loved your Mother so very much, as we all did do. She was such an incredibly sparkly person. I haven't spoken to your Mother or you for that matter in 30 years or so regret that now. Never considered for a minute the time that was passing. I've thought fondly about your Mother countless times over the years, three times in the past few months. Went to find your Mother's telephone number tonight, just to let her know how much joy she brought to my life 30-some years ago, joy that pervades my life today. I wanted to thank her for that joy. Joy she gave so effortlessly. I found this Guestbook instead. How stupid I am. Never considered that your Mom was 75, or that I'm 46. You must be 40-something weird. I could tell you so many stories. Ask me about Rhapsody in Blue wake up call, or playing the ram's horn one Easter. Man I loved your Mom. 1,000 character limit...

Barbara has been a close friend for several years, but the years of her illness have brought us much closer. I feel that I have lost a sister. The day of her passing I visited the hospital and we talked MUSIC! She suggested several anthems the choir could sing in the next few weeks while I am directing the choir. Barbara has asked me to sub for her by directing the choir and bells from time to time when she was away or ill, but I only pretended to do so. There can be no substitue for Barbara. I will miss her every time I walk into the church or hear beautiful music or ring with the bells. Every time I see Kendall I'll think of how much Barbara loved her. Sandy and Sherrie, I grieve with you. There is a hole in my heart that can never be mended.
